Citizen Engagement and Polling Platform

Get Involved- Your Government Needs Your Help

An important part of any community is the engagement of its citizens in public matters. Below are ways to find out what is happening at Town Hall and how you can participate and provide input.

Contact the Town Council

Contacting the Town Council is as easy as an email. You can email the Council here and the entire Council will be copied on your email.

Attend Council Meetings

The Town Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 7:00pm at the Municipal Building on Cottage Street. Citizens and Business Owners have the opportunity to speak at each meeting of the Council.

Participate in Public Forums

The Town of Bar Harbor in partnership with the Jesup Memorial Library and the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, is committed to bringing larger community discussions of current topics to the forefront. These forums are opportunities to learn, participate, and help shape the future of Bar Harbor.  If you would like to recommend a topic for discussion please email Town Manager Cornell Knight.

Let Your Voice Be Heard - Polco Polling Platform

The Town has a real-time polling system using the Polco platform to get input from citizens in order to improve opportunities for engagement.  Topics for exploration using the Polco online survey platform can be sent to Town Manager or Town Council
