The Bar Harbor Water Section will begin flushing water on Monday, March 23 and finish on or before Tuesday, March 31, 2026. We will be primarily flushing from 7am to 3pm and focusing on the downtown area. The purpose of the bi-annual flushing program is to increase water system flow capacities and provide higher water quality to our customers. Customers may experience decreased pressure and discolored water at any time during flushing. Please check your water for any discoloration before starting laundry. We encourage people to run their cold water tap until the water runs clear.
