Town of Bar Harbor Municipal Records include birth, marriage, and death records for Bar Harbor (formerly Town of Eden) residents and if the event took place in Bar Harbor.
Fees
Records from present date back to the late 1790. Records prior to 1892 are not a complete listing.
- A fee of $5 per record searched.
- If record is found, $10 fee includes a photocopy labeled "NOT FOR LEGAL PURPOSES".
- A $15 fee for a certified copy but must provide proof of lineage.
- Make checks payable to Town of Bar Harbor.
Include all known information with the written request such as name, dates, and location. Fees must be paid in advance. Please mail requests to the town clerk or call for an appointment.
