  2. GLASS is to be deposited in household trash at Transfer Station

    Effective immediately, all glass must go in the household trash, per Town Council on 5/21/2019. For clarity, be advised that windows are considered construction debris and are taken to Eastern Maine Recycling (EMR) in Southwest Harbor (fee is charged).
  3. Free disposal of Bar Harbor bulky waste at EMR is discontinued

    Effective immediately, the practice of no-cost disposal of bulky waste (i.e., mattresses, couches, chairs) by Bar Harbor customers at Eastern Maine Recycling in Southwest Harbor is discontinued, per Town Council on 5/21/2019. Fees will be applied by EMR.
