The Town Bar Harbor has adopted The Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC), the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70),
2015 Uniform Plumbing Code (IAPMO) and the National Fire Protection Association 101 Life Safety Code (NFPA 101).
Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code is made up of the following codes and standards:

2015 International Building Code (IBC)
2015 International Existing Building Code (IEBC)
2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) - Update to 2015 IECC as of July 1, 2021
The following standards are also adopted as part of the MUBEC, and are mandatory.
