Fishing or hunting licenses for persons 16 years of age or older may be obtained at the Town Office at a cost of $27, or at area merchants or online through the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
Fishing and hunting licenses are no longer available at the town office. Area merchants sell non resident licenses and they can be purchased online through the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
Upon age 16, proof of successful completion of a Hunter's Safety Course must be provided to obtain an adult license.
Other license authorizations that may be obtained include: archery license, resident serviceman, combination license, duplicate license, migratory waterfowl, muzzleloading, pheasant, and bear.
There is now a fee of $8 for the over-70 / lifetime license, but the hunting portion includes the additional authorizations, except those by lottery, subject to change by Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
